Creechurch announces new underwriting

As Creechurch International Underwriters strives to provide our brokerage community with superior service and smart solutions for knowledge-based industries, we are pleased to announce the following appointments to our Underwriting team:

Maia Espejo joins us as Senior Underwriter, Directors’ & Officers’ Liability.  Maia recently served as Corporate Management Liability Underwriter at Travelers Canada. Her experience includes D&O, Fiduciary Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Kidnap & Ransom and Crime. Maia holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of York.

Candace Pietras joins Creechurch as Underwriter, Professional Liability.  Candace was previously a client executive in the Communication and Technology Practice Group at Marsh Canada.  She brings with her expertise in Media Liability, and her client service experience will be and asset to Creechurch as we continue to grow our Miscellaneous E&O business. Candace holds her FCIP and CRM designations.

Maria Psillos joins Creechurch as Underwriter, Professional Liability.  In her previous role of Underwriter at Chartis, Maria underwrote Casualty and Professional Liability. Maria’s main focus at Creechurch will be supporting our A&E book of business.

Nancy Quach joins us from Marsh Canada where she was part of the Healthcare department and acted as Client Rep. In her new role of Underwriter, Professional Liability, Nancy will be assisting our Medical Malpractice underwriting team. Nancy holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University.

Michael Stewart, Underwriter, Information Technology, joins us from Central Underwriters Inc. where he was Property/Casualty Underwriter, Habitational & Commercial Insurance. Michael’s prior roles at Hub International, TWIG and Totten Group include underwriting, mentoring of junior employees and risk management.
